How to be popular

A sure way to be popular is to find your talent, excel at it, and just be the best.

How to excel?

Get up before everyone else in the morning and practice until your bones shake, tingle and break. Stay up late at night and learn until your eyes bleed and beg for mercy.

That’s what it takes to excel. Sorry, there are no shortcuts. Ask anyone who’s number one in any field.

Now here’s another way to be popular. Not just popular but loved, respected and admired. It’s a simple way but it works like magic.

There are two steps to it.

First, make a list of the things that people have done to you that you’ve disliked and hated. Don’t do those things to others. Never ever.

Next, make a list of the things that people have done to you that you’ve liked and appreciated. Do those things to others. Always.

Timeless technique, isn’t it?

It’ll make you a leader.

You see, it’s good to be popular and have an influence on people.

Then there’s something even better you can do. You can go out of your way, help people out, and make a difference in their lives. Do it expecting nothing in return.

You’ll not be popular. You’ll be great.

There are lots of people you can reach, and there are lots of ways you can help.

You can buy bread for a hungry person or books for a poor kid.

You can volunteer at orphanages, senior citizen homes, and animal care centers.

You can clean the streets in the neighborhood and paint the walls in the school.

Look around and you’ll see plenty of opportunities to help, serve, contribute, and make a difference.

Do it, and you’ll never have to bother about popularity, or self-esteem, or confidence, or anything like that.

You’ll have them all and much, much more.

You’ll be a model of excellence.
