You got talent!
Everyone comes to this world with some sort of talent.
You’ve got it and I’ve got it.
We are all good at something or the other. We all have our own unique gifts and special abilities.
Maybe you don’t yet know what it is. But it’s there. Hidden somewhere deep within you. Waiting to be discovered. Wanting to be expressed.
It’s the passion of your heart. It’s your core genius.
It’s the key to your greatness in life. It’s what you want to be famous for.
Would you like to find out what this talent is? Would you want to explore, express and excel at it? Would you want to make it your reason to live an extraordinary life?
Or would you want to forget about it – let that talent die within you, unexpressed and unknown, so that you may live a quiet, desperate life?
Your choice.
But I’d suggest that you give talent a chance.
Maybe your genius lies in the world of words. Do you especially like reading, writing or speaking? Would you want to be a writer, journalist, public speaker or something else where you could use language creatively? Give it a thought.
How about banking and economy or science and technology where numbers, logic, reasoning and problem solving are the names of the game? Do you think you are cut out for those?
Nopes?
Then what say you to the idea of making your mark in sports or dance or acting or any such area where you can twist your muscles and flaunt your body? Some people are ‘body smart’. (Their genius runs in their blood, muscles, bones and skin – nothing wrong with it though!) You could be one.
Or maybe you’re ‘picture smart’ with a fascination for colors, shapes, images and visual effects. You could find your niche as an artist, animator, architect, fashion designer, movie director, photographer or any other role you choose for yourself where you can flex your visual muscles creatively and imaginatively.
Or are you a music maestro at heart – with a deep love for rhythm and melody? If music is what beats your heart, then music alone will liberate your soul. Go for it with passion and gusto. Let the world hear you.
But if music is not your playing field, then perhaps nature is. Plants, animals, rocks, bugs, corals, waterfalls, mountains – do these things strike a chord with you? Do you deeply care for the environment and want to do something about it? You could be anything in life from a forest ranger to a volcanologist – just answer the call of nature!
Not a nature buff? Then what about people? Do you enjoy working, learning, helping and being with people? Looks like you’re what they call ‘people smart’. You could shine as a manager, talk-show host, social worker or in any other position where you can connect with people.
So you see, there’s no such thing as ‘no talent’. Everyone is talented, but in different areas. If you’ve found your talent, milk it for all it’s worth. If you haven’t found it yet, then keep exploring.
